An MiLB team wants you to decide whether they go Democrat or Republican this weekend
As the official Minor League team of the state that holds our first presidential primaries of the season, the New Hampshire Fisher Cats have a unique relationship with the American political system. It's a relationship they honor the only way a Minor League team can: through a variety of strange and increasingly elaborate promotions. Just this past November, for example, the team left its Opening Day uniform up to the fans -- Democrat or Republican?
But with Election Day on the horizon, that wasn't quite enough democracy. The American people needed a test run. And so, the Fisher Cats are allowing us to choose again: This Labor Day weekend, will their caps be red or blue? Elephant or Donkey?

The Democrats currently hold a narrow lead, but there's still time for a comeback -- so go vote here before Saturday's game. And hey, come for election fashion, stay for Ollie the retiring-yet-still-adorable bat dog:
