Oakland rapper G-Eazy threw a strike for the A's and witnessed a stellar Matt Chapman double play

On Friday night, the A's celebrated their hometown hip-hop hero, G-Eazy, with a special bobblehead night. The man of the hour was on hand for the festivities, of course, tossing out a ceremonial first pitch as part of the evening's events.

Prior to taking the hill, G-Eazy (real name: Gerald Gillum) made some fans' dreams come true with a dugout autograph session:

In the third inning, he made his way upstairs to the NBC Sports Bay Area booth to sit in with A's broadcasters Glen Kuiper and Ray Fosse and spoke about his Bay Area roots and that first pitch:

He was also treated to a gem of a defensive play by A's rookie third baseman Matt Chapman that started a slick 5-4-3 double play:

Before being interrupted by Chapman's great play, G-Eazy was talking about the times he used to ride BART to the Coliseum for A's games.
Further demonstrating his true Oakland roots, he quipped, "I thought that was Eric Chavez back!"
Fun times in the Bay.
