Xavier Edwards, the Padres' No. 38 pick, had an amazing cheering section at the MLB Draft
With the 38th pick in the first round of the MLB Draft on Monday, the Padres selected shortstop Xavier Edwards from North Broward Prep (Fla.).
It was no doubt a proud moment for Edwards and his family, but we don't just assume that. No, Edwards had a very loud and sizable group with him at the MLB Network studios for the big day, and they let their excitement show when Tony Gwynn Jr. announced the pick:
