Photo of the Night: Clayton Kershaw chats with Sandy Koufax after dominant win

In his first World Series game ever, Clayton Kershaw was absolutely dominant: He walked none, struck out 11 and gave up just one run and three hits over seven innings -- helping to make the Dodgers' 3-1 win the shortest Fall Classic game since 1992. It was the Astros' highest strikeout total all season against one pitcher and the most K's by a World Series starter since Orlando Hernandez tallied 12 in 2000. Look at Marwin Gonzalez's brain (and bat) freeze on this curveball.

It was also the most strikeouts by a Dodger pitcher in a World Series since Sandy Koufax had 15 way back in 1965. Funny enough, the former generational ace was there to greet the present-day generational ace postgame.

We're surprised the camera was able to capture that much brilliance in one shot. Kershaw talked about their relationship postgame.
"Yeah, [Koufax is] in our corner. He's rooting for us. I've said it a million times, but he's a special guy. Not too many guys can have that pedigree and be the kind of man he is. And thankful that I've gotten to hang out with him for a little while."

Tune into Game 2 of the World Series presented by YouTube TV on Wednesday on FOX (7:30 p.m. ET air time, 8 ET game time).
