Dubbed "The Curacao Kid" early in his career, the center fielder dazzled both at the plate and in the field across 17 years in the big leagues. His signature campaign came in 2005, when he led the Majors with 51 home runs and finished second in NL MVP voting.
For a player who hit 434 career home runs -- the fourth-most all-time among center fielders, behind three Hall of Famers (Willie Mays, Ken Griffey Jr., and Mickey Mantle) -- it is Jones' glovework in center field that many fans remember most.
