The Art Institute of Chicago's famous lions are ready for the Cubs to play in the World Series
The Cubs are heading to the World Series for the first time in 71 years, but one major Chicago institution isn't surprised. After the Cubs fell short to the Mets in the NLCS last October, the Art Institute of Chicago took to Instagram to thank the team for a great season. They also confidently asserted that next year would, finally, be the year the World Series came to Wrigley Field:
The Art Institute absolutely crushed this prediction: "We're already getting ready for a World Series in Chicago next year and Cubs helmets on the lions." When a major Chicago sports team plays for the championship, the lion statutes outside the Art Institute are decorated in solidarity. It's a long-standing tradition, but one which began after the Cubs' last trip to the World Series. As a result, the lions, like many Chicagoans, have been waiting a lifetime to celebrate a Cubs World Series appearance.
At long last, the wait is finally over:

By the way, Art Institute. Any thoughts on lottery numbers?
