The Progressive Field sprinklers turned on in the middle of a game, but didn't cool off the Indians
The sixth inning of the Indians' 8-0 win over the Athletics Thursday afternoon was full of oddities. There were multiple errors, a rare double challenge and four runs for the Indians.
Perhaps the weirdest occurrence of all, however, was when the sprinklers in left and center field at Progressive Field turned on in the middle of play.
The game resumed after a short delay, but to the A's dismay, the intervention of the sprinklers did little to cool off the Indians, who added one more run in the sixth and three more in the seventh.
