Wearing his dad's No. 27, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. received a hero's welcome at Olympic Stadium
On Monday night, the Blue Jays lost to the Cardinals, 5-3, in an exhibition game played at Olympic Stadium, the longtime home of the Expos. For many Toronto fans, this was a chance to see their future in the present -- specifically, top prospects Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and Bo Bichette, sons of former MLB stars Vladimir Guerrero and Dante Bichette.
In the seventh, Guerrero entered the game, replacing

The ovation continued when Guerrero stepped up to the plate in the bottom of the seventh, as seen in the clip atop this post.
In that frame, Blue Jays fans witnessed at-bats from both Guerrero and Bichette (the team's top two prospects), and while they grounded out and lined out, it was an exciting moment nonetheless.
The elder Guerrero, of course, played eight seasons with the Expos at Olympic Stadium from 1996-2003, so the sight of his son back at the ballpark is pretty special.

It turns out, Guerrero Jr. was not originally supposed to wear No. 27 in the first place:
