Dee Gordon smacked a single on a pitch that bounced off the dirt

Dee Gordon has many talents: He can keep his cool around opposing fans, he can steal bases with batting gloves in his mouth and he can apparently hit singles on balls that bounce in the dirt.
During the Marlins' 9-2 victory over the Mets on Wednesday, Gordon smacked a single to shortstop Jose Reyes in the bottom of the eighth inning. This pitch was in the dirt, however -- and still, Gordon made contact, showed off his speed and made it safely to first base. Witnessing it was something special.

How does he do it? We aren't sure, but he once again deserves some ice cream.
