A ricochet off umpire Joe West's foot turned Willson Contreras' single into a double

Second-base umpire Joe West has obviously been keeping up with start of the English Premier League this year, and decided to show off his fancy footwork during the second inning of Tuesday's Padres-Cubs game.
Willson Contreras connected with a Christian Friedrich slider to send a what appeared to be a routine single 102 mph up the middle.
Little did San Diego centerf ielder Travis Jankowski know, that nothing of the sort was about to take place. Under the guise of trying to avoid the ball, West pulled off a back-heel that would have made Lionel Messi proud:

Whatever West was going for, Contreras wound up gliding into second base for what will appear to be a routine double in the box score. Very cheeky Mr. West. Very cheeky.
