Here's your annual reminder that few things are as awe-inspiring as a Wily Mo Pena dinger

The calendar has flipped to 2018, and with that new year comes new beginnings, new opportunities and, most importantly, a new excuse to remind you that Wily Mo Pena has spent yet another season launching dingers that defy belief. Baseball's favorite large adult son turns 36 today, and as on birthdayspast, we're going to take this time to catch you up on all the Wily Mo mashing you may have missed.
His year started in the Cactus League, where Pena signed a Minor League deal with the Indians -- and promptly went about dropping baseballs into unsuspecting parking lots:

While he didn't stick in Cleveland, he did sign with the Chiba Lotte Marines of Nippon Professional Baseball in July. He posted an .845 OPS over 70 games in Japan, hitting 15 homers -- including one that may or may not have reached escape velocity:

And, just for good measure, here's Wily Mo going opposite field like it's no big deal:

Hopefully he'll be coming to a Spring Training facility near you in a few weeks' time.
