ABOUT THE DREAM SERIES

Jan. 17, 2022: Virtual DREAM Series

The DREAM Series is a showcase event focused on the dynamics of pitching and catching for a diverse group of high school elite athletes, predominantly African-American, from across the country during the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday weekend. The event, which was established in 2017, is operated by Major League Baseball and USA Baseball.

This year we are proud to expand the impact of the DREAM Series in a two-part virtual discussion. DREAM Series: Celebrating MLK, airing at 12 p.m. EST on MLB.com, is a panel with elite African-American prospects and their parents, discussing the personal benefits of attending the DREAM Series. MLB Tonight: A Conversation, airing at 5 p.m. EST on MLB Network, will host former Major League players and three African-American coaches as they discuss black representation in baseball. The focus of this year's presentations and panel discussions is to inspire athletes and provide keen insight from former star Major Leaguers and current experts within the game.

Notable guests participating in the 2022 DREAM Series include: Host Harold Reynolds, Players Alliance representatives Cameron Maybin and Michael Bourn, former Major League managers and youth consultant Jerry Manuel, Dusty Baker, Ron Washington, and DREAM Series participants Termarr Johnson, Elijah Green and Kassius Thomas.
