CEO Dan Foster began his tenure at the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association in 1986 after a successful career in banking and a previous position as the national sales director of Hawaiian Tropic. He has been a part of the leadership team from the incipient stages. Foster has witnessed the incredible growth from every aspect of the organization, including: the inception of Major League Alumni Marketing, overseeing approximately $70 million raised for charitable causes, giving back more than $3 million a year directly to former players, securing pensions for a group of former players that lacked that security, and developing the Legends for Youth clinic series. He is extremely proud of the team that has been assembled under him.
Foster is a graduate of Ohio Northern University, where he was an All-America basketball star and held the all-time leading scoring record for more than 30 years. Continuing his higher education, Foster also holds a graduate degree from School of Banking South at Louisiana State University. He currently resides in Colorado Springs, Colo., with his wife, Margaret, and their son, Austin.
