Pro-style workouts highlighted Day 2 of the MLB Draft Combine. Sixty-three position players took batting practice and went through defensive drills at Chase Field, while 23 pitchers threw off the mound.
The sixth annual MLB Draft Combine is underway and many top prospects showed off their pop in the first round of batting practice. Colin Barczi of Vanderbilt crushed a 464.9 ft, 110.7 mph home run.
The 2026 Draft Combine kicked off Tuesday at Chase Field with an electric batting practice display from Rintaro Sasaki, the slugging first baseman, who posted the highest exit velocity of the early session (115.4 mph) and two of the four longest homers – 458 feet (110.6 mph) and 434 feet (107.3 mph).
