The Nashville Sounds threw a combined no-hitter, and a rehabbing Sean Doolittle was part of it

What better way to finish out a rehab assignment than as part of a no-hitter? That's the scenario that played out for A's lefty Sean Doolittle, who was one of four pitchers used by the Nashville Sounds on Wednesday night in their win over the Omaha Storm Chasers at Werner Park.
Doolittle, who is expected to rejoin the A's this weekend for their series against the Rays after a few weeks on the disabled list, was a key component in the Sounds' four-pitcher no-no, notching two strikeouts in a crisp seventh inning after Chris Smith sailed through the first six. As for the no-hitter's place in team history, well, it was the club's first in a decade:

Not a bad night at the ballpark.
