Teddy Roosevelt showed up at World Series Game 2 to support the Cubs

Theodore Roosevelt Jr. was the 26th President of the United States. His term in office spanned 1901-09, meaning that he was in the White House the last time the Chicago Cubs won the World Series.
That's quite a long time -- everybody knows that by now -- and is a big reason the Cubs' current standing as National League champions is such a big deal.
It's so momentous an occasion, apparently, that ol' Teddy decided to make his way to Progressive Field ahead of Wednesday's Game 2 between the Cubs and the host Cleveland Indians.
He definitely made his presence felt as easily as you'd imagine, given his fashion sense and attention to detail:

So what's he doing at the ballpark in 2016? Well, he's here, "supporting the Cubbies, and hoping divine providence will bring us one win out of two here in Cleveland!"
He also noted that one of the biggest differences between baseball now and then would have to be the attire of patrons in the stands -- since they usually wore coats and ties back then, of course.
A rather astute observation from a truly iconic figure in U.S. history.
Teddy's Cubs won Game 2, 5-1, to even the World Series at a game apiece.
See whether Chicago or Cleveland can take control of the Series when it heads back to Wrigley Field for Game 3: Friday, 7:30 p.m. ET air time | 8 ET game time on FOX.
