Finding someone to throw with can be a daunting task -- it's a lot of pressure for those involved. You need to be able to trust one another and it's a must to be punctual and consistent. So when Joe Biagini is searching for these qualities in a throwing partner, he looks no further than Sesame Street.
You read that correctly. In an interview with Sportsnet in 2017, the Blue Jays pitcher named Big Bird as someone on the other end of his throwing regimen:
"I have a poster of Big Bird from Sesame Street that I set up, and I just try to hit the targets," Biagini told Sportsnet's Kristina Rutherford. "I hit him in the head or the shoulder or the arm for different pitches. That seems to help me a lot. He has a very inspiring quote on the top of the poster: 'You can do it.' It really helps me get in the zone."

Biagini also said his dad could help as a throwing partner because he enjoys doing it, or his agent -- who "does not look like Big Bird."
Hey, whatever gets the job done.
