Alex Bregman was one of a few Major Leaguers who put on a Mother's Day show for their moms in the stands

If you're a baseball player, is there a better Mother's Day gift than hitting a homer with your mom in the stands?

If you're Alex Bregman, the answer is yes: Hitting two homers with your mom in the stands, watching you dominate with pride.

That's exactly what the third baseman did in the Astros' win against the Rangers on Sunday at Minute Maid Park. First up was this two-run blast in the bottom of the second inning:

You're making us all look bad with our cards and flowers, Alex.

Also making us look bad is Houston right-hander Corbin Martin, who won his Major League debut on the afternoon, with his mom and grandmother looking on in the stands.

Bregman and Martin weren't alone in putting on a spectacle on the day, though. Over at Busch Stadium in St. Louis, Josh Bell had one of the best games of his career in the Pirates' 10-6 win over the Cardinals -- in front of his entire family, including Mom.

Phillies rookie Cole Irvin won his Major League debut filling in for the injured Vince Velasquez, pitching in front of his mom -- as well as his dad, brother and girlfriend (and other family and friends), who all made their way to Kauffman Stadium on short notice for the big day.

And in Los Angeles, Hyun-Jin Ryu followed up his dazzling start last week with a member of the Korean pop group BTS looking on with a near no-hitter in the Dodgers' 6-0 win over the Nats. This time, Ryu's mother was at the ballpark, watching her son dominate all afternoon long.

She also took part in a ceremonial first pitch alongside other Dodgers mothers:

A great Mother's Day was had by these players, that's for sure.
