C-SPAN celebrates Opening Day with a montage of politicians sharing their love of baseball

C-SPAN has been broadcasting government proceedings for nearly 40 years. In addition to giving the American people a peek behind the curtain of the federal government, it has also provided a forum from which politicians could express their fondness for America's pastime.
Over the years, congresspeople, senators and future presidents have taken to the House and Senate floors to congratulate individual players, celebrate World Series victories and even honor their own Rep. Jim Bunning when he was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1996.
Since C-SPAN is a TV network and not a physical entity, it couldn't celebrate Opening Day with #CapsOn like the rest of us, so it did the next best thing and shared a video montage of politicians waxing poetic about baseball:

Left, right, red, blue, donkey, elephant ... but baseball has been the constant, so much so that it transcends politics.
