Celebrate National Different-Colored Eyes Day and the All-Star Game with Max Scherzer

NEW YORK, NY - JULY 08: Max Scherzer #31 of the Washington Nationals looks on from the dugout prior to the start of the game against the New York Mets at Citi Field on July 8, 2016 in the Flushing neighborhood of the Queens borough of New York City. Tuesday is National Different-Colored Eyes Day, as good a time as any to celebrate the individuals with heterochromia in your life. Tuesday is also the All-Star Game presented by MasterCard, a time to celebrate MLB's 2016 All-Stars. That means it's definitely a time to celebrate Max Scherzer, the only heterochromiac pitcher in tonight's All-Star Game.

Scherzer's eyes, as you can see in the photo above, are two different colors -- his left iris, brown; his right iris, blue. They help him do things like strikeout 20 batters in a single game:

And make for unique bobbleheads:

So cheers to Scherzer on Tuesday, and don't forget to watch him in the All-Star Game, 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT on FOX.
