These Red Sox fans wrote thank-you-cards to Dodgers manager Dave Roberts for his 2004 ALCS stolen base

You won't find many opposing players, let alone opposing managers, getting standing ovations as a visitor, but that's exactly what Dodgers manager Dave Roberts received when he was announced before Game 1 of the World Series at Fenway Park.
During his playing days, Roberts provided what was arguably the most important spark in the Red Sox's comeback in Game 4 of the 2004 ALCS, which was the beginning of Boston's remarkable rally in the series that led to their breaking the Curse of the Bambino:

Sox fans have certainly not forgotten, even as Roberts now occupies the opposing dugout in the World Series. The standing ovation before Game 1 surely got Roberts' attention, but we wanted to allow fans to get more personal and truly show their gratitude for his brave baserunning 14 years ago. And what better way to show gratitude that an old fashioned thank-you-card?
Check out the video at the top of the page to see what words of appreciation Red Sox fans would share with Roberts.
