David Peralta gave us the beautiful gift of an inside-the-park home run Saturday night

We love an inside-the-park home run. Especially when it has this much energy.
The D-backs defeated the Cubs, 6-2on Saturday night. During the game, David Peralta stepped up to the plate and smacked a ball into deep left-center field, where the ball bounced off at an awkward angle.
Peralta kicked into high gear as he rounded the bases.

According to MLB.com's Jarrid Denney, Peralta wasn't exactly sure how he would fare.
"For the first moment, I thought, 'OK, triple,'" explained Peralta. "But then I took a peek and saw [third base coach Tony Perezchica] sending me home, and I was like, 'Oh man, I'm out of gas.' So I didn't slide into home plate, I just laid myself down. I was out of breath. But it was good, it feels good. I've never done it before, it was my first time, but that was a pretty special moment for me."
Peralta scored and the dugout couldn't have been happier. We haven't seen Archie Bradley this excited since Andrew Chafin covered him during a postgame interview.
