David Price made his 2017 debut and struck out the first batter he faced

Monday afternoon, Red Sox pitcher David Price made his first Major League start in nearly eight months as his team visited the White Sox. Due to tightness in his left elbow, he hasn't pitched since making a start in Game 2 of the 2016 ALCS against the Indians on October 7.
White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson was the first batter Price faced in his 2017 debut. It turned out that was an unfortunate position to be in as the Boston lefty didn't show any early signs of rust from his long layoff.

As the Red Sox try to catch the AL East-leading Yankees, having the 2012 Cy Young Award winner healthy and throwing filthy cutters like that one to Anderson will undoubtedly help their cause. Though Price did allow a 3-run homer to Melky Cabrera in the third inning, he's touched 96 mph on the gun and generally looked pretty sharp.
