Justin Turner got his Game 2 walk-off homer back from the fan who made a great catch on it

The Dodgers' 4-1 victory over the Cubs in Game 2 of the National League Championship Series on Sunday had a definite "storybook" feel to it -- mostly due to the way it ended.
When Justin Turner blasted a three-run, walk-off homer against John Lackey to give the Dodgers a 2-0 series lead, it just so happened to be on the 29th anniversary -- to the day -- of Kirk Gibson's fabled shot in the 1988 World Series. A well-positioned Dodgers fan in the center-field bleachers came down with the baseball, no doubt an already classic moment in Dodgers postseason history, with a very strong effort:

After the game, Turner told MLB Network that he did end up getting the ball back from the fan. He admitted, though, that "I had to wheel and deal a bit" in order to make the exchange. Watch his whole interview in the clip atop this post.
Whether that means a signed jersey, game-used bat or some other special piece of memorabilia is unclear, but given the gravity of the home run from the team's perspective and for Turner's private collection ... it was definitely worth it.
With the Dodgers staked to a 2-0 series lead, the NLCS now shifts to Chicago. Tune in to Game 3, Tuesday, 9 p.m. ET/8 CT/6 PT on TBS.
