It's been 10 years since Endy Chavez's incredible postseason catch

The year was 2006. The date was Oct. 19. The Mets and Cardinals were locked in a 1-1 tie in the sixth inning of Game 7 of the NLCS. Oliver Perez was on the mound for New York, Scott Rolen waited at the dish for St. Louis and Jim Edmonds led off first base. 
Rolen hit a long fly ball to left field, destined to be a go-ahead gift for his teammates in the visitors' bullpen ... threatening to end the Mets' bid for their first World Series championship in 20 seasons. Enter Endy Chavez:

Unfortunately, for the Shea Stadium faithful, Yadier Molina was able to hit one out of Chavez's reach in the 10th. And then there was that whole Carlos Beltránmoment to end the game.
Still, Chavez's play is considered one of the greatest postseason catches of all-time. But where is he now? Is he retired and just watching his GIF on endless repeat?
No, he's playing baseball. For the Bridgeport Bluefish in the Atlantic League -- a league he led in hitting this year with a .345 average. As mentioned in a recent NY Daily News profile, the 38-year-old Chavez still has hopes of playing in the Majors. If it happens, he would be the only other active Expo besides Bartolo Colon (they were teammates in Montreal in 2002). And although he likes to mention that he hit better than .300 during that '06 season and he wishes he could've done something more to get the Mets to the Fall Classic, "all anyone [wants] to talk about was the catch, the catch, the catch." Can you blame them?
