It's time to become better acquainted with your new favorite superstar, Francisco Lindor

Maybe Francisco Lindor has always been your favorite player. Maybe you've loved him since his debut in June of 2015, when he got his first hit (especially since he stumbled a bit trying to run to second base, and then laughed to himself about it).

Or maybe you realized that Lindor was your favorite player during this year's All-Star Game. He was mic'd up during the seventh inning and immediately became America's sweetheart:

Lindor is truly the light of all our lives, no matter when we came to that realization. So why not take this time to learn even more delightful things about him?

His nickname is Mr. Smile

Last season, MLB had its first ever Players Weekend, in which players (who would have guessed) got to wear custom jerseys with their nicknames on the back. Lindor went with "Mr. Smile."

Can you blame him?

His commitment to his dazzling grin is so sincere that he's even considered being a dentist. In 2016, he told Harold Reynolds that he was always a big smiler (here's proof), but "since I got my braces off I was smiling even more… it gives you that confidence… and I would love to be able to help people that way."

He loves fashion

You may have guessed from his past All-Star looks that Lindor is committed to fashion:

But just how committed is he? He's willing to sit on the floor with a pair of scissors and make his own designs, that's how committed he is:

Designing my own stuff!! 👕👖 💪#Lindorstyle #DesignByLindor

He's (working on being) a multi-sport star

This past offseason, Lindor went to Tokyo and started learning Akido, a Japanese martial art.

Ready to do some work on people! #Tokyo #Aikido

So … he hasn't quite mastered it yet:

Didn't go as planned. They must have scouted me! 😂

But that's OK! He appears to be pretty good at air hockey, too:

He's incredibly true to his word

Lindor moved to Florida from Puerto Rico when he was 12 years old. He didn't speak any English. "It's crazy how naive I was," he told Bleacher Report. "I couldn't even say 'I don't understand.'" His dad had to write the words on his hand so that he could show them to any teachers he couldn't communicate with. At first, he only knew two other people at his school, Montverde Academy.

It's safe to say that everyone there knows him now. Before the Montverde Academy baseball team's 2018 season, Lindor made a bet with them. He said that if they had a perfect season, he'd shave his head. Well, guess what happened?

He's just really great at baseball

There are so many Lindor highlights that are worth your time. He's fast!

He's a quick thinker!

But if you're going to press play on one video today, let it be his home run from the Puerto Rico Series in April. Watch it with the sound on:
