Gary Sanchez studied some charts in the dugout and backed up his research with a booming homer

The phrase "student of the game" is often thrown out there in reference to any professional athlete, as adapting and learning new things is an important element for success.
Yankees catcher Gary Sánchez has done a lot of fast learning on the fly since making his debut in the Bronx in 2015, swatting homers with ease and helping the #BabyBombers move to just a game from a World Series berth -- which they accomplished with a 5-0 win over the Astros in Game 5 of the American League Championship Series presented by Camping World on Wednesday.

Tune in to ALCS Game 6 on Friday, 8 p.m. ET on FS1.
