In honor of Rockies Opening Day, Gerardo Parra has a new purple-and-silver hairdo

The first day of the MLB season is upon us, and some players are already in an Opening Day mood. Count Rockies outfielder Gerardo Parra among the excited. He celebrated by having his hair dyed silver and purple.

The hairdo took three hours for a friend of Parra's wife to pull off, but it looks glorious.
Parra told reporters that he might very well keep the look, depending on how the season goes. "Right now, it's for the opener," said Parra. "If we make playoffs? For sure I'll get the purple color."
In that case, fingers crossed for another "Rock-tober."
