Gorkys Hernandez's feet betrayed him while he was fielding a single, but he persevered

The coordination involved in any athletic activity, including baseball, requires tremendous focus. It also requires full cooperation from your body, since it's the physical vessel carrying out whatever it is you're attempting to do.
Sometimes, this plays out perfectly, as the Giants' Chris Strattonexperienced on Tuesday night with a line-drive comebacker hit right back at him. Other times, things don't go quite as well. 
In San Francisco's 5-4 loss to the Marlinsnst the Marlins on Wednesday night, center fielder Gorkys Hernández attempted to field a Cameron Maybin single, but his feet had other plans:
