Get to know newly acquired Rays slugger Tommy Pham with some monster homers

On Tuesday, the Rays traded for Cardinals outfielder Tommy Pham . His 14 home runs on the season would tie him with Wilson Ramos for second on the club and make him one of just three Rays with double-digit home runs. While Pham has not hit a home run in Tropicana Field yet in his career, he's sure to hit plenty during his tenure with the Rays.

So, to get to know the newest Ray, let's look at some of Pham's most glorious home runs.

May 7, 2017: Upper deck in the 14th inning

Pham had two homers in this game, separated by 10 innings. His third-inning home run gave the Cardinals a 2-0 lead over the Braves, but his 14th-inning home run put his team up for good. Even better: It travelled way into the upper deck at SunTrust Park:

Aug. 17, 2017: To the PNC Park rotunda

Pham provided one of the most impressive home runs in the history of PNC Park, knocking a ball to the rotunda beyond the left-field foul pole. Members of the Pirates and Cardinals agreed that they had never seen a ball travel that far at PNC Park. Statcast tracked it at 440 feet:

Sept. 20, 2015: That time he hit it out of Wrigley Field

Pham only hit five home runs in his rookie season, but his fifth was mighty impressive as a he took a pitch from Jon Lester and sent it straight out of Wrigley Field.

July 19, 2018: That other time he hit it out of Wrigley Field

In what turned out to be his last home run as a Cardinal, Pham returned to a trope from his rookie season: hitting the ball out of Wrigley. In 2018, Kyle Hendricks was the unlucky Cub:

May 1, 2018: The leadoff 454-foot homer

The longest home run of Pham's career came in his (former) home park. Leading off a game against the White Sox, Pham took a 3-2 pitch from James Shields and hit it over 450 feet. Fittingly, it landed just above the Big Mac Land sign.

With power like that, it won't be long until Pham hits his first homer at Tropicana Field. The bigger challenge might actually be avoiding the catwalks.
