'Parks and Recreation' star Nick Offerman sang 'Take Me Out to the Ballgame' at Wrigley Field
"Parks and Recreation" star Nick Offerman is an outdoorsy sort of gentleman, that much is known by many. The Joliet, Ill., native is also a devoted Cubs fan, so it should come as no surprise that he showed up outdoors at Wrigley Field on Friday as a special guest of the club. It also appeared as if he and a bus full of friends and family members made their way to the game, as well.
His activities began with a ceremonial first pitch:

Though Chicago lost to the Brewers, 6-3, Offerman seems to have enjoyed himself, despite some inclement weather and birds -- how could you not, with seats this close to Bryzzo?

As seen in the clip atop this post, he also provided the Friendly Confines with a spirited rendition of "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" delivered with the assistance of his niece, Maggie.
Maybe next time, Offerman will lead the seventh-inning stretch with the smooth sax tones of the inimitable Duke Silver.
