The best thing about 2016 is that Jake Arrieta's beard is back

Dear Jake,
In October, we wrote you an open letter to express our deep sadness at the fact that you'd decided to go clean-shaven. Sure, it was probably nice to be crumb free for a while, and maybe it was even refreshing to get carded at R-rated movies. But we missed the beard.
But now it's a new year, and we're writing you an open thank you note. Why? You know why -- you look in the mirror every day:

Look at your beard, getting ready for Spring Training. We're pretty sure it's in the best beard shape of its life.
So thank you, Jake, for bringing light back into our lives by bringing your beard back to your face.
