The Tigers celebrated Jeimer Candelario's walk-off homer with the rally goose
The Tigers and Indians played a 12-inning marathon at Comerica Park on Saturday that lasted from afternoon into dark. In the end, it was the Tigers who sent the fans home happy with a 4-2 win after Jeimer Candelario connected on a pitch from Cody Allen that sailed over the right-field wall, deep into the Detroit night.
As Candelario rounded third and headed home, he was greeted by a now-familiar sight -- the rally goose:
The goose has been a staple in the Tigers' clubhouse ever since he made his entertaining introduction to Comerica Park, so it must have been nice for Candelario to celebrate with the team's new avatar after his long ball.
Forget Goose Goslin. There's a new hero in town.
