A Rangers fan tried to shield himself from a torrential downpour with a single souvenir cup

There was a 38-minute rain delay in the eighth inning of the Rangers' 3-2 win over the Angels on Monday night at Globe Life Park. Players headed to the clubhouses, grounds crews did battle with the tarp and fans ran for cover. Well, most fans. One gentleman thought he could stave off the torrential downpour like so: 

Good thinking, but as this fan eventually found out, the surface area of the souvenir cup did not come close to providing any cover from the storm. Let's hope he at least filled it up with another beverage once he got back inside the concourse.
