Even though the Yankees were on the road, Sabathia's family was right there with him to see him reach this remarkable milestone. They've been an essential part of his journey, and they wouldn't miss this for the world.
As seen in the video, the Sabathias came prepared with signs. Each of his four kids had a number to hold, too!
And of course, after Sabathia walked off the field following No. 3,000, they were right there to greet him with plenty of hugs.
