The B.O.A.R.D.: Wade Davis pitches on into eternity

Each October, the MLB postseason belongs to someone or something. Whether it's the Rally Monkey in 2002, Daniel Murphy in 2015 or David Ross last year, October is always dominated by a particular force. With so much good baseball packed into one month, it's sometimes tough to follow all the madness, so we created the Baseball October Arbitrary Rankings Device (The B.O.A.R.D.) to keep track of it all.
Wow. That baseball encounter last night between the Nationals and Cubs was downright absurd. We live streamed basically the entire thing, which you can go back and watch if you want to relive any of the insanity.
So much happened in Game 5 of the ALDS, presented by T-Mobile, that the whole thing feels like a blur. Did Michael A. Tater really tater again? We honestly can't remember.
One thing is for sure: We needed to update the B.O.A.R.D. After a shutdown 2 and 1/3 innings of relief -- the most innings he's pitched in a single game since 2014 -- Wade Davis surely belongs on our rankings. But who else made the list?
Did Michael A. Tater get on the B.O.A.R.D. despite the Nationals' loss? Watch the video at the top of the page to find out.
