The city of Chicago named a road after Javier Baez

Cubs second baseman Javier Baez has had himself quite a year. He completed his first full Major League season, was named co-NLCS MVP and played in the World Baseball Classic final with his native Puerto Rico.
On top of all that, Baez now has a Chicago street that bears his name. On Tuesday, the city of Chicago unveiled a stretch of road in Chicago's Humboldt Park neighborhood that was renamed to honor Baez. No longer will the Cardinals be the only National League Central team to lay claim to a Way; the Cubs' second baseman will have his own.

Javier 'Javy' Baez Way runs through a section of Humboldt Park that contains numerous baseball and softball fields. Additionally, Humboldt Park has a large Puerto Rican community, making this a fitting site for a tribute to Baez.
