The Phillie Phanatic responded to Bryce Harper's Opening Day tribute with some sweet cleats of his own
In his first game as a Phillie on Thursday, Bryce Harper endeared himself to the people of Philadelphia by rocking some incredibly ugly, yet perfectly on point, cleats paying homage to the Phillies' lovable furry mascot. What Harper may have lacked in fashion sense with his shoe selection he made up for by playing to the crowd.

But, the fans weren't the only ones who appreciated Bryce's gesture. The Phanatic himself also took notice. On Saturday, he responded in kind by showing up rocking some Harper tribute shoes.

We don't know where these displays of mutual appreciation will go next, but it has already reached an adorable and hilarious level just two games into the 2019 season.
