Torii Hunter Jr. makes great catch, dad cheers from stands
What's that phrase they always say? Oh yeah. "Like Torii, like son," right?
OK, that's not a real phrase, but it might as well be one. In the Angels' 5-4 Spring Training win over the White Sox on Friday, prospect Torii Hunter Jr. made a leaping, game-saving, tie-preserving catch in the top of the ninth inning on a line drive off the bat of Preston Tucker that sent a wave of excitement through the stands at Tempe Diablo Stadium.
One fan in particular -- Torii Hunter himself -- was on hand to watch his son in the game, and, well, he was pretty much the proudest dad in the world for a few minutes:

You would be too, if your son did that.
After all, he learned from the master ...
Adrian Garro joined MLB.com in 2016. Throughout his travels, both Bartolo Colon and Vin Scully have placed their hands on his shoulders. Not at the same time, though. That'd be amazing.
