With Victor Victor and Victor Mesa Jr. leaving Cuba, there should be a lot more Victors in MLB

For two decades, Victor Mesa Sr. was one of the biggest stars in Cuba. He led the league in steals 14 times and was a star center fielder for the Cuban National Team. In retirement, he has managed in both Mexico and Cuba and led the Cuban National Team in both the 2013 and 2017 World Baseball Classics.
On Friday, MLB.com's Jesse Sanchez reported that both of Mesa Sr.'s sons -- Victor Victor and Victor Jr. -- have left Cuba in the hopes of signing a contract with an MLB team. Victor Victor is a 21-year-old outfielder who, over the past six seasons in Cuba, has hit .275, though Sanchez says his best tools are probably his speed and defense. He played for Cuba in the 2017 World Baseball Classic and collected three hits in seven at-bats.
Victor Jr. also plays the outfield but is five years younger than his brother, at 16 years old. Sanchez describes him as a switch-hitting outfielder with a decent arm and the potential to hit.
It is unclear when the two brothers will become eligible to sign, but once they are eligible, the number of Victors in Major League organizations figures to increase tremendously.
