A bunch of fielders found out that it is very unwise to battle the sun on Sunday

You may think MLB veterans are less liable to make mistakes. They're old, they're experienced and they've seen it all. But do you know what's even older and has seen even more? The sun.
The red-hot ball of fire up in the sky is about 4.6 billion years old. It has been here since the beginning of time, and on Sunday (a day named just for the sun), vets like Stephen Drew, Carlos Gomez, Jordy Mercer and others fell victim to its clutches:

That's not what one would call a "Sunday Funday." Well, unless you're the sun. The sun probably had fun. Good for you, sun.
