After nine home runs in eight years, Bobby Wilson hit two grand slams in a week

One week ago, Bobby Wilson had nine career home runs and zero grand slams.
After Saturday's game, he has 11 dingers and two grand slams.
That's right, the journeyman catcher, who has played for five teams in eight Major League seasons, has become baseball's version of a truffle hog. Except instead of the delectable and rare mushrooms, he's sniffing out bases-loaded home runs.
His first came on Mother's Day. And then, in just his fourth game since, he hammered out another one on Saturday night against the Blue Jays. Coming to bat in the bottom of the second, Wilson went deep against Marco Estrada:

In case you're wondering, Derek Jeter, with 260 home runs, had only one grand slam. Glenn Davis, who topped 30 home runs in a season three times in his career and retired with 190, has zero grand slams. Wilson tops them both.
Even better, when Wilson went deep, he had to work for it. Wilson worked Estrada for 11 pitches before unloading.

The last batter to see that many pitches before hitting a grand slam was Jermaine Dye in 2007. Bobby Wilson: Proving that you can't predict baseball since 2016.
