Watch a smiling Mary Tyler Moore throw a very cheery first pitch for the Twins in 2002

On Wednesday, legendary actress/comedienne/author Mary Tyler Moorepassed away at the age of 80.
For years, Moore entertained us all with her trademark smile, warmth and general pleasant demeanor on The Mary Tyler Moore Show, The Dick Van Dyke Show and many other projects.
That smile, the one that became so familiar over the years -- went with her to the mound at the Metrodome back in 2002 for a special ceremonial first pitch as a guest of the Twins:

In her classic sitcom, Moore portrayed a young woman named Mary Richards who moves to Minneapolis to work as a TV producer ... so her appearance at a Twins game (and a statue eventually erected in her likeness) makes perfect sense.
She'll definitely be missed, but never forgotten.
