Cameron Perkins had first Major League hit and recognition from Hall and Oates all in the same night
It hasn't been a bad week for Cameron Perkins.
The 26-year-old made his Major League debut Tuesday night, coming into the game in the bottom of the 10th inning as a pinch-hitter. Even though the Phillies fell to the Cardinals, 8-1, Perkins received praise from Cardinals catcher
On Wednesday night, Perkins got the start at the leadoff spot and his first Major League hit. And much to everyone's surprise, the outfielder had Hall and Oates' "You Make My Dreams Comes True" as his walk-up song.
Just wait, it gets better.
Once MLB.com's Todd Zolecki announced this little nugget of information to Twitter, he was asked which member of the band could have retweeted him. Well, not only did Zolecki get a retweet, he got a response from the musical duo who are originally from Philadelphia, and it looks like it was John Oates himself who may have retweeted and responded.
That's one way to start your Major League career.
