One intrepid World Baseball Classic fan came away with not one but two souvenirs

Catching a souvenir at a baseball game is a once-in-a-lifetime experience, the sort of story you'll be telling for years afterwards. We've been told by people far better at math than we are that the odds are around one in 570. As for catching two, well, that's nearly impossible -- you have a 1 in 324,900 shot. You're more likely to hit a hole-in-one or bowl a 300 (provided you aren't Mookie Betts , of course).
Luckily, one fan at the World Baseball Classic showdown between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico has one simple rule:

In the top of the second inning, Dominican outfielder Nelson Cruz tied the game up with an opposite-field dinger that just cleared the right-center-field fence -- and was skillfully snagged by a fan named Manny Rubio:

Just two innings later, Puerto Rico's Eddie Rosario took the lead back with a double into the gap in right-center. The ball bounced just before the warning track ... and, wouldn't you know, took a big hop right into Rubio's outstretched arms:

That's right: Two innings, two run-scoring hits, two Classic souvenirs. And if you don't believe us, we've got photographic evidence:

That's Rubio with his son, Kevin. The ball in the case is Cruz's home run, and the ball in Kevin's hand is Rosario's double. Manny took in a game at Dodger Stadium during the very first World Baseball Classic, but this is the first time the Alta Loma, Calif., natives have attended a Classic game together.

And here's a view of all the madness from a Mariners fan (who just happened to be right behind Rubio):

Rubio and his kid picked a good game, too, considering that the two rosters on display feature Robinson Canó, Manny Machado, Adrián Beltré, Javy Baez, Carlos Correa and Francisco Lindor -- and those are just the starting infields. Puerto Rico ended up winning the game, 3-1.
