Yasiel Puig fired an absolute bullet from right field to second base

Choosing to run on Yasiel Puig has been a risky proposition ever since the very first day he stepped foot onto a Major League field in 2013. In a scoreless game against the Dodgers on Wednesday night, however, the Giants' Joe Panik decided to take the chance on his arm anyway.
At first, it didn't seem like much of a risk at all, as Panik really crushed the ball -- it was heading all the way to the right-center field wall on the fly. Few expected Puig to handle the carom so flawlessly, but his rocket arm made the play oh-so-close at second base.

The throw itself wasn't that much different from other successful Puig missiles at Dodger Stadium.

The only unfortunate difference tonight for the Dodgers was that 26-year-old Joe Panik is a little more agile than the 37-year-old Aramis Ramirez was in 2015. Panik was narrowly safe at second with a double.
Puig could only flip his glove in exasperation at the near-miss.

Thankfully for Puig, Julio Urías worked out of the jam to strand Panik on the bases. Puig even got his own revenge on Panik in the following inning, when his popup to second was misplayed.

Panik's error allowed Puig to get all the way to third base. He ended up scoring the Dodgers' lone run on the night on a Chris Taylor single; they eventually fell in 11 innings, 4-1.
Just another day in the wild life of Yasiel Puig. It's normal.
