Chris Heisey batted .247 in 543 games during his five seasons (2010-2014) with the Reds. In 2011, he appeared in a career high 120 games, batting .254 with 18 home runs and 50 RBIs. On June 22, 2011, Heisey belted three home runs and drove in five runs in the Reds’ 10-2 victory over the Yankees at Great American Ball Park. He is one of only 31 players in franchise history to have a three-home run game.

Corky Miller was a reserve catcher over seven different seasons with the Reds appearing in 153 games including 32 games for the 2010 NL Central Division Champion Reds club. Miller played professionally for 17 years including an impactful tenure for the Reds Triple-A affiliate in Louisville and his number was retired by the Bats in 2014. He is in his 10th season as a roving catching instructor in the Reds’ minor-league system.

An outfielder, Kearns was the Reds’ first round selection in the June 1998 amateur draft. In 2002, Kearns hit .313 with 13 home runs and 56 RBIs as a rookie and finished second in voting for the National League Rookie of the Year Award. On April 2, 2003, Kearns became the first Reds player to hit a home run at Great American Ball Park. A Red through the 2006 season, Kearns appeared in a total of 1125 games with five different Major League clubs over the course of a career that ended after the 2012 season.

The 2015 All-Star Game Home Run Derby champion was a third baseman for the Reds from 2011-2015. An All-Star for the Reds in 2014 and 2015, Frazier was a key contributor to the 2012 National League Central Division Champion Reds and Cincinnati’s 2013 Wild Card playoff team. A Little League World Series Champion with the Toms River East Club in 1998, Frazier starred at the collegiate level with Rutgers, leading the Scarlet Knights to the College World Series in his junior season. Selected by the Reds in the first round of the 2007 amateur draft, Frazier made his major league debut in 2011. The next year, Frazier finished third in voting for the National League Rookie of the Year Award. Following his Reds career, Frazier played for the White Sox, Yankees, Mets, Rangers and Pirates before retiring following the 2021 season. He ended his career with 218 home runs including 108 with the Reds, a total that places him in the top-50 in Reds franchise history.

The Reds’ first round selection in the June 1980 amateur draft, Robinson pitched in 201 games for the Reds from 1984-1990. In 1986, he blossomed into one of the game’s top relievers, posting a 10-3 record with 14 saves and a 3.24 ERA. Robinson enjoyed another successful season as a relief pitcher in 1987 before being moved back into the starting rotation in 1988. It was on May 9 of that season that Robinson came within one strike of pitching the first perfect game in Reds history. On June 9, 1990, the Reds found themselves in need of an outfield bat and traded Robinson to Milwaukee in a deal that brought Glenn Braggs and Billy Bates to the Reds.

September 17

Dave Bristol managed the Reds to 298 victories and a .529 winning percentage to close out the 1960s.. A longtime manager in the Reds’ minor league system, Bristol played an integral role in the development of a host of Reds stars, particularly the homegrown players that made up the core of the Big Red Machine. He was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 2018.

Tommy Helms debuted with the Reds in 1964. Two years later, starting at third base for the Reds, he was named the 1966 NL Rookie of the Year. Helms moved to second base the next season and earned the first of his two All-Star selections. A Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner in 1970 and 1971. In November 1971, he was one of the key players traded to the Astros in the deal that brought Joe Morgan to Cincinnati. Helms was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 1979.
