On Thursday, March 28, 2019 Royals Opening Day, more than 1,200 volunteers team up to help kids! Fans who donate can receive special editions of The Kansas City Star or commemorative Royals flags to help send kids to Rotary Youth camp and other local children's charities.

The $10 is a donation to Royals Charities that will support the Rotary Youth camp located in Jackson County Missouri.
What does the Rotary Youth Camp do?
The Rotary Club 13's Youth Camp has served hundreds of thousands of metro area children. The Rotary Youth Camp is designed specifically for children with physical, mental or emotional disabilities which make it difficult to attend other camps. The entire 26-acre youth camp is wheelchair accessible. There are 13, dorm-style cabins, a large dining hall, and a state-of-the-art, zero-entry swimming pool. The camp is open year-round, and it is funded by donations from events such as Greater Kansas City Day that cover its operating expenses.
Where can friends/family members purchase a flag in person?
Flags will be sold at Kansas City area Price Chopper locations starting in late March through Royals Opening Day (while supplies last).

Rotary Youth Camp:
Since 1924, more than 400,000 children with disabilities and disadvantaged youth have enjoyed a unique camping experience, free of charge, at the Rotary Youth Camp. Located at Lake Jacomo, the Rotary Youth Camp features cabins, tent camping, a mess hall, a nature trail and a wheelchair-accessible swimming pool that allows boys and girls with special needs to take part in outdoor activities.
