Adrian Beltre took a pitch in the dirt, then jumped to help pick it up

In addition to his prolific hitting, Rangers third baseman Adrian Beltre is known as a man with quirks. He's fond of hitting home runs from one knee:

And he's not fond at all of teammates touching his head:

During the second inning of Sunday's game against Rays, Beltre added another quirk to his repertoire when he reacted to a pitch in the dirt from Jake Odorizzi.

Despite a long career that has seen him record nearly 3,000 hits, Beltre remains energetic and willing to go out of his way to help other players, even if they're not his teammates. His unexpected maneuver saved Rays catcher Jesús Sucre some strain.
One word of advice to Sucre: Don't touch Beltre's head while thanking him.
