Alex Wood broke out his bizarro look during the 14th inning of Dodgers/D-backs

Everything seemed to be going according to plan for the Dodgers, who handed a 6-3 lead to closer Kenley Jansen in the ninth inning of their Monday night game against the D-backs. A stunning three-run bomb by Chris Owings changed all that and sent it to extras.
The marathon dragged on to the 12th ... and then the 13th ... and then the 14th. The Dodgers were out of both bench players and relief pitchers, with Wilmer Font their last hope on the mound.
At that point, one Dodger turned to desperate measures. Starter Alex Wood clearly decided to channel the cosmos in search of a hero:

Take me to your rally leader.
It was a weird look, but after injured teammate Justin Turner watched Yasiel Puig make a terrific throw to end the 14th inning by nabbing Ketel Marte at second, he endorsed the rally cap as well:

The very next inning, Chase Utley delivered an RBI single to bring Cody Bellinger home with the go-ahead run.
We don't understand your ways, Alex Wood. But now, we can't help but trust you.

Despite Wood and Turner's best efforts, the D-backs rallied in the bottom of the 15th to pull out the 8-7 victory.
